Do Those Invisible Fences Work with Affenpinschers?

Invisible electric fences can work with some affenpinschers. However, they are not a good substitute for an owner's supervision. There are several reasons for that.

The greater swiss mountain dog, or swissy, is believed to be a direct descendant of the ancient tibetan mastiff. A versatile dog, the swissy traditionally drove cattle, guarded property, protected human companions and fought in wars.

First of all, most invisible fences work because they detect a signal from a special collar on the affenpinscher. If the collar falls off or the batteries in the collar die without the owner's knowledge then the affenpinscher can easily escape.

The silky terrier originated about 100 years ago in Australia. Their major ancestors were the Australian terrier and the Yorkshire terrier. They were bred to be family companions, watchdogs, and to hunt rodents and snakes.

Another problem is that some affenpinschers may see something outside the fence line that gets them overly excited, such as a small animal. The affenpinscher might break through the invisible fence line when they are in an extremely excited state and then, after the feeling wears off, they might not want to come back because of the invisible fence.

The American Kennel Club recognizes more than 150 breeds? Segmented into seven different breed types, all breed possess unique temperaments, physical characteristics as well as a rich background in history.

Believe it or not, the most common problem with electric invisible fences is not trying to keep the individual affenpinscher in. The biggest problem is actually trying to keep other things out. Since the invisible fences work based on an electric impulse from one particular affenpinscher's collar, they do nothing to keep other neighborhood DOGS out of the yard. For that matter, they also don't prevent wildlife, such as raccoons or coyotes, from coming into your affenpinscher's environment either.

The greyhound is the fastest breed of dog. It is capable of running at speeds of around 45 miles per hour. Greyhounds are excellent for hunting and racing, but they are notorious for laziness, often preferring to cuddle on a couch, rather than run. This makes them an ideal house pet.

Some places don't allow standard fences, such as wood or chain link. In those instances, an invisible fence may be the only alternative. If your affenpinscher is going to be supervised in the yard then an invisible fence may be fine. However, there is no substitute for a standard fence when it comes to keeping other animals out. If you can have a standard fence then you should have one. That will protect not only your affenpinscher, but also the rest of the family.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the smallest dog on record was a yorkshire terrier in Great Britain who, at the age of 2, weighed just 4 ounces. However, the chihuahua is generally the smallest breed of dog.
